INGILIZ at ZEROW – Rethinking Fashion Beyond Waste

Three Days in Florence with ZEROW – Fashion Beyond Waste

In June, INGILIZ took part in one of Europe’s most forward-thinking events for sustainable fashion — ZEROW – Fashion Beyond Waste. Held in a historic Florentine villa, the exhibition brought together a curated selection of brands from around the world, all known for their circular design approach, responsible production, and creative reuse of deadstock materials.

Among the keynote figures were Orsola de Castro, founder of Fashion Revolution, and Sara Sozzani Maino, former creative consultant at Vogue Italia and current Creative Director at Fondazione Sozzani — women leading the global conversation around ethical fashion. For us, it was more than just a professional event — it was a personal journey into dialogue, depth, and design with a conscience.

The Capsule Collection: In Her Light

INGILIZ presented a specially curated capsule collection titled “In Her Light” — featuring six styles handcrafted from deadstock leather in our family-owned, zero-waste factory in Peshtera, Bulgaria.

These designs are more than accessories — they’ve been worn by women with presence and influence:

  • Angelina Jolie at the Cannes Film Festival

  • Coco Rocha during New York Fashion Week

  • Paris Hilton, Carrie Underwood, Cynthia Nixon, and Victoria Justice

But what connects them isn’t just the spotlight. It’s how they’re made — with intention, responsibility, and an aesthetic that puts principle before trend.

Why This Movement Matters to Us

At INGILIZ, sustainability isn’t a trend — it’s our structure. Our factory runs on 100% green electricity from rooftop solar panels, and we operate a fully in-house, closed-loop production process. Every heel, sole, and insole is made internally, allowing us to control resources, minimize waste, and maintain full transparency.

We believe that luxury should be created with meaning — not excess.
That every piece of leather deserves a second life.
And that the shoe walking down the red carpet can be both beautiful and ethical.
