LEATHER
Our leather products are made out of natural leather for its comfort, beauty and resilience. If we used artificial leathers, they could take up to 100 years to biodegrade. Lotions, oily cosmetic products, lipstick, make-up, perfume, and alcohol products can leave permanent marks on leather. Repeated contact of light-coloured leather goods with dark textiles can also stain the leather, so it is best to avoid it. Soft leather also changes slightly after use, as leather is a flexible material which is a natural part of its beauty.
Keep leather away from humidity, heat and chemicals and protect it from rain and rough surfaces, which can scratch and damage it. For any serious damage always take leather items to a specialist leather dry cleaner. If leather gets wet, allow it to air dry at normal room temperature.
To keep the natural shape of leather, always store your products in their original protective packaging, using tissue paper in between wears to keep their original shape.
NAPPA LEATHER
Nappa leather is quite a delicate but very soft and comfortable material.
It's made of soft calfskin and goatskin and buffed to give it a slightly polished appearance. For a long product life, we recommend avoiding contact with rough and/or abrasive surfaces. Where necessary, we strongly recommend using a specialist cleaning service.
For taking care of your products at home, a baby wipe is enough to get any dirt or residue off the surface. Using a clean, dry cloth and a leather balm, polish your pair. The balm will soak up and help your leather last longer, preventing any tearing.
Buffing with polish regularly will help maintain your products extra shiny. Depending on the colour of your shoes, you can use a polishing balm that matches exactly or alternatively use a clear polish. We usually favor a clear polish for all non-black items.
EMBOSSED LEATHER
Our Embossed Leather is made of soft calfskin and goatskin and finished with a high shine polish. For a long product life, we recommend avoiding contact with rough and/or abrasive surfaces. Where necessary, we strongly recommend using a specialist cleaning service.
For cleaning Embossed Leather start by wiping it with a baby wipe. After using a dry cloth and a bit of leather balm, you can polish the surface. Leather is a natural material and keeping it moisturized is very important. After using balm, a shiny leather polish is good for keeping your products look brand new.
PATENT LEATHER
Our Patent Calf Leather is made of soft calfskin and goatskin and finished with a coating to give it a rich, glossy and luxurious appearance. Protected with a few layers of coating, patent leather is the easiest to clean! All you need is a dry cloth to polish the surface of the product. Make sure to protect your Patent Leather products from any heat exposure as to not damage the original look of the coating.
Lighter colour patent leather is prone to absorbing dyes and therefore, we discourage prolonged contact with darker items of clothing, and/or ‘loose’ dyes. For a long product life, we recommend avoiding contact with rough and/or abrasive surfaces. Where necessary, we strongly recommend using a specialist cleaning service. In case of tougher marks we discourage the use of solvents and excessive or prolonged rubbing, as this could damage the product. Between uses, we recommend storing your INGILIZ product in its original dust bag.

SUEDE LEATHER
Our Suede Leather is an extremely soft and delicate leather with a luxurious velvety feel.
Any small imperfections such as veins, are considered normal characteristics of a natural suede and any differences in colour between each skin are considered precious and characteristic of this leather. Suede requires a little more care than most leather materials. It doesn’t perform well when exposed to water, so for items like winter boots we recommend using a protective spray coat. However, we advise that you always do a test on a small patch of your product like the inside of the heel.
To clean your suede products, brush carefully with a suede brush and then smooth all over with a softer brush for an even finish. We discourage excessive or prolonged rubbing, as this could damage the product. For any hard stains you can always use a suede eraser for some extra help.
If the product comes into contact with water, dab it dry with a soft dry cloth to absorb any moisture. Between uses, we recommend storing your INGILIZ product in its original dust bag.
